Ashford School Offered Continued Support From EMR
Having previously enabled the creation of a mindful garden, EMR Ashford is supporting Victoria Road Primary school to enhance its educational resource.
Victoria Road Primary School, which educates children from across Ashford, is passionate about learning and aims to inspire young people to love education. They understand that a child’s educational needs extend beyond primary school and they are committed to providing children with the tools they will need to transition into adolescence and adulthood.
The £3,000 donation given by EMR Ashford will be used to improve kitchen facilities, allowing the purchase of equipment such as a cooker, food processor and baking utensils. This is all in the schools aim of improving their educational offering around food and nutrition for its 210 pupils.
Sam Taylor, Commercial Manager, EMR Ashford said:
“Having worked closely with Victoria Road Primary School for a number of years, myself and the team have developed a close relationship to the school and its pupils and have witnessed what a wonderful school it is.
“The subject of food and nutrition is something that we deal with every day and education around this area is vital. These resources will help build on the already excellent standard of education the children at Victoria Road Primary School receive. We are delighted that we can support!”
Sarah Revell of Victoria Road Primary School added:
We have formed a very strong bond with EMR and they have supported and encouraged the school community to enjoy our lovely garden and be responsible recyclers. With the donation of £3000 we will be able to update our kitchen facilities and teach our children how to grow, prepare and cook.
This partnership was created as part of EMR’s Young Futures Reimagined initiative, a programme which aims to help young people across the country to build bright futures.
