Listed on the 2004 World Monuments Watch, this historic power station is a well loved part of the London skyline.
The famous Battersea power station, which happens to be the largest brick building in Europe, stopped producing electricity in 1983. It is now in the process of a spectacular makeover to transform it into luxury apartments, offices, restaurants and shops, with the iconic chimneys being carefully dismantled and faithfully rebuilt. The famous building is generating quite a lot of scrap!
EMR Wandsworth, who has great views of the power station, were proud to be chosen to receive all the metal from the redevelopment and delighted to be receiving such historic scrap.
