EMR Chard awards donation to Redstart Primary School

Redstart Primary School, based in the heart of Chard, Somerset, nurtures children from the community from nursery age to Year 6. The teaching staff aim to instil a love for learning in young children which they will take with them through to adolescence by offering a broad and rich curriculum.

EMR Chard has given a donation enabling the school to purchase science equipment to boost their STEM educational offering to over 200 students. Equipment includes stopwatches, torches and a water channelling set.

Steven Ellis, Operations Manager at EMR Chard commented:

“Having supported Redstart Primary School for a number of years, I have seen first-hand the efforts that the teaching staff go to offer first class education to their pupils.

“The team are fully committed to nurturing young people and helping them find their passions, so I know that the donation, and subsequent resources obtained, will only help to further this.”

Roger Hunt of Redstart Primary School shared his thoughts on the continued support: :

“Redstart Primary School is delighted to be in partnership with EMR Chard. The resources that we have been able to acquire thanks to their grant will have a positive impact on all of our children as they move up through the school year by year.”

Redstart Primary School are one of a number of schools, charities, community groups and social enterprises to benefit from EMR’s Young Futures Reimagined programme. Through this initiative, EMR aims to help young people across the UK to build brighter futures.
