EMR delivers a sweeter Easter to patients at Alder Hey Children's Hospital
EMR has put a smile on the faces of local kids this Easter, by donating 135 chocolate eggs, for patients to enjoy at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool.
The special delivery brought some much-needed chocolate cheer to those children unfortunate enough to be in hospital during this time.
EMR asked their customers across the country to get involved in the egg drive by challenging them to quote the phrase ‘Easter egg’ to the Weighbridge Operator at any of their 60+ sites throughout the UK. Every time it was quoted, a chocolate egg was donated to the hospital, which cares for more than 330,000 children, young people and their families every year.
EMR is a global leader in sustainable materials and is committed to caring for the communities it serves through charitable partnerships. With nine sites across the North West of England, the families at Alder Hey are very much part of that community.
Ian Sheppard, EMR’s Managing Director says:
“The people at EMR really care about their local communities and wanted to do something for the children who are in hospital at this time. All children should feel that Easter is a special time of the year.”
“Alder Hey is an amazing hospital and we're delighted to be able to support them through our egg donation initiative. Parents with kids in hospital have enough to think and worry about, so a surprise egg for their child is an unexpected treat at a difficult time - a huge thank you to our customers and staff for making this happen!”
