A Statement from Chris Sheppard, Group CEO, on the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine

Chris Sheppard, Group CEO, has released the following statement on behalf of EMR.

“I cannot imagine how distressing it is to live through what is happening in Ukraine. The loss of life and unfolding refugee crisis caused by this war has truly shocked the world.

“Through the current crisis I feel that we have to follow our “We Care” principle. For now, I think this simply means:

• Stand by Ukraine
• No business with Russia
• Respect ordinary Russian people

“To try and make a small difference we are giving £250k to the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal. The Disasters Emergency Committee brings together 15 leading aid charities, raising funds to quickly and effectively respond to crises.”
