Dedicated to brightening the lives of children in the city, the charity provides unforgettable short breaks and valuable learning opportunities. A stay at its farm is filled with fun, learning and adventure – and all in a safe and happy environment. The donation from EMR will enable the charity to give 12 young people, aged from eight to 11 years who experience difficulties in their home life, a well-deserved residential break at Lineham Farm.

Dave Norman of Leeds Children’s Charity at Lineham Farm comments:

“Once again, the support from EMR for our work with young people from backgrounds of challenge and disadvantaged, is humbling. It is always a pleasure to see Billy and his team at the centre and their genuine interest in our work. Support like this cannot be underestimated - it makes a difference and helps the charity, working with its partners, to support young people who are in need.”

Billy Reid, Operations Manager at EMR’s recycling site on Pontefract Road in Leeds, says:

“We never cease to be amazed by the wonderful work done by Leeds Children’s Charity. We’ve supported the charity over a number of years, and we’re delighted to do so again. It is so rewarding to see just how much happier and healthier these children are after a few days at Lineham Farm. They learn new skills, make new friends and have a truly fantastic time.”
