At EMR you can now get paid quicker by scanning your payment ticket with a mobile phone, meaning no more waiting at the payment office. Instantly gain access to your customer portal and request payments straight to your bank account.

How to log in to my portal

  1. Request access via the weighbridge, you will receive a link on your nominated email/mobile number. If it’s been a while don’t forget to update your contact details
  2. Click the link and enter your email or mobile number
  3. You will receive a unique 6-digit login code via text or email
  4. Insert the code and get access to your portal

How to get paid through my portal

  1. Once metals have been dropped off for recycling, you will receive a receipt containing a QR Code with a phone icon
  2. Scanning this code with a mobile phone camera will take you directly to your portal where you can see:
    • Full details of your visit to EMR, including how much you will be paid
    • An option to make a payment direct to a bank account

  3. Transactions payments can be made either the same day* (£2 per transaction) or the next working day free of charge. The last four digits of your chosen bank account will display on the screen so that you can ensure your bank details are up to date and correct. (Please note it is your responsibility to make sure these details are up to date, EMR cannot be held responsible for any mistakes.)

What if EMR don't have my bank details?

Customers who have not added bank details to their account will need to contact their local EMR yard and provide the account number and sort code.

What if I don't receive my payment the next working day?

If a payment is delayed, please call, or email the yard visited and they will investigate.

Will everyone get the new customer portal?

Only EMR customers with portal access enabled on their account will be given a receipt with a QR code. If you do not have the portal access enabled, you can request it at the weighbridge office. Please do not create a new EMR account to get portal access as this can cause confusion when issuing tickets and allocating payments.

*Please note that payment requests after 4pm won't be processed until the following day.
