The entrance to EMR Smethwick is located off Charles Street, which is a small cobbled street off Downing Street. Please follow the ‘IN’ arrow on to the main weighbridge and report to the office to see our weighbridge operator. If you are a new customer and need to open an account, please follow the ‘P’ arrow into the customer parking area and then report to the weighbridge office where an account can be opened for you.

The following items cannot be accepted at EMR Smethwick:
Fridges, freezers
Beer kegs / casks
Dairy trolleys / cages
Sealed cylinders — unless they have come through authorised routes
Shopping trolleys

Getting paid for recycling should be simple and fast. At EMR you can choose from payment direct to your bank from your customer portal, or get paid instantly with the SecOre card. Spend anywhere Mastercard is accepted, withdraw cash at ATMs, or withdraw on-site at selected EMR yards.
Please note: Charges apply for BACS transfer, on-site ATM transactions, and adding money to SecOre payment card.
