What happens to my scrap car?
Your vehicle goes through a complex recycling process, making sure as much as 95% is recycled and recovered.
First, the ELV is carefully & responsibly stripped down and depolluted. Airbags, tyres, batteries and other parts are all removed.
Next, our shredder processes the vehicle shell, separating the metals from other materials.
Finally, remaining materials are separated further to extract plastics and aggregate. The aggregate can then be reused in construction and the plastics are recycled into four different types of polymer, used in manufacturing.
